Zukermann has both a fretted (49 key) and unfretted (61 key) instrument available. They can be purchased as kits, partly assembled kits or as completely assembled instruments.http://www.zhi.net/instr/index1.shtml
Charles Wolff is an other builder who has kits available.http://www.clavichords.com/
Hubbard harpsichords, http://www.hubharp.com/ does not have a clavichord available. (at least not on their web-site.)

To be honest I don’t know where you would get one. However, years ago, a friend of mine had one. It was a really nice instrument and very suitable for a flat as they are not very loud. Why worry about what your flatmates think ? I take it you can play a keyboard ?

If by “weird” you actually mean “totally awesome”.

    maybe Great Britain or Europe.
If they think its weird, its their loss when you’re a famous clavichordist.
