This is the first part of the three part article entitled GETTING RID OF A FLATMATE, called the GETTING RID OF A FLATMATE PT.1, where you will learn how to get rid of a roommate or a flatmate when he or she stops being a help you to and ends up as a nuisance or an annoying flatmate.
One of the perks of having a roommate or a flatmate is that you have someone to share the load and the expenses that is brought upon by living away from the comforts of the home where you grew up and away from the protective sphere built and maintained around you by your parents. When you have a roommate or a flatmate, you can ask someone to help you do the dishes and help you clean the house, but if you are all alone in the flat that you are renting, you will have to deal with the cleaning and the washing and the maintenance all by yourself. Also, when you have a roommate, you can share the bills that you have to pay with them; be it electricity, water or gas. You could also share the rent of the flat with your roommate, so you would not have to pay it in full all by yourself, because you have someone to take over the other half or the other quarters of the full payment.
When you have a roommate, yo Continue reading

Nowadays, it is really, really practical to have someone to share with when it comes to expenses and anything that would only be good to share, such as doing carpools, sharing on a box of pizza that you will not be able to consume entirely and, the best of all, sharing in house rentals. If you do the sharing that I am talking about, you would be able to save a lot of money, which you can use to buy many other things.
However, looking for roommates is really not that easy. And a lot worse than that is the fact that it is far more difficult to find a roommate that you can trust and can go along nicely with and who you can be comfortable with. And if it is that hard to find a roommate, then what would happen to your plans of spending less and saving more, nothing. You would not be able to save more because you will surely be spending less. Here are some of the tips that you might want to check out and follow when it comes to dealing with your college roommates. You could do this to maintain some peace and quiet in your dorm or in your apartment.
One of the first things that you would need to do is to get to know your new college roommate. You would not have a hard time doing it especially if you exert effort in doing this. You could also do this by talking to him or her and by knowing what his or interests are and his or her likes and dislikes. By doing this, you would be able to build a rapport and that could become the bridge that would connect you to each other. There is also nothing wrong in choosing to befriend someone who you are going to be living with for a year and for at least a few months. Continue reading

Having someone to share things with is a really nice thing, and having someone to share things such as bills payment, rental payment and food expenses is even better. Of course, I am talking about none other than finding a roommate that you could share the rent with and all the other bills with, such as: water bills, electrical bills and gas bills. And when you have a roommate, you just do not have someone to share the expenses with, you also have someone to talk to when you are both stuck in your room. And when you hit a common denominator or a common belief in life, that roommate of your that you share expenses and a few bonding moments with could potentially be your long – time friend, and such thing is really, really possible. Here are just some of the most common and highly possible topics that could be of great concern between college roommates.
One of the issue that could raise concerns between college roommates is the food. Well, having access to each other’s foods is relatively easy because you all live under the same roof, and because you trust that no one will eat the food of the other without the permission or the knowledge of the other. However, there are still times when your food looks more appealing to the eyes and mouth of your roommate than his own food. There would be nothing much to it if he buys the same food for himself and he keeps is hands off yours. But what if instead of buying, he just eats your food. Then that would be where the problem would start. When this happens, one of the things that you could do is to label your own food cartons and trays, and to make sure that your food do not get mixed up with his. You could even resort to hiding and locking your food inside your own ref or cabinet is he still eats your food despite the labels and the shelf designations. Continue reading
