Needing to know this as have had a debate with flatmates all day…please help!
I have a DSL modem here in my flat with 4 ethernet ports. My flatmates want to share the modem with me but is it going to affect the connection or the speed?
i have the worst flatmates.i have to live with them for 4 years.I am totally different from them.Everytime I do sth. they give a nasty remark.I feel pretty hurt.I also don’t have the ability to tell them sth.nastier and its driving me insane. They don’t even allow me to study.I always stand aloof but they somehow manage to come up with an argument and seem to blame me even if the cat drinks all the milk or if the maid cooks twice the rice that she shoulld.pls.help me.
I am planning a trip to Auckland June 1 for what i hope to be a permanant stay. How are American’s accepted in Auckland/rest of NZ? I am very down to earth and like to hit the pubs and sometimes a club. I want to find social flatmates in a house in Auckland. One of the big reasons i am leaving the US is because i don’t agree with what the country has become and especially the current administration’s actions. Hope that sheds some light a little about me. If I am willing to learn the NZ culture, will kiwis be willing to accept me as an American?
Hi guys, my husband and I are looking for a couple or two girls or just one girl as flatmates.I just know Gumtree and another website to search. To you know more for London? Thanks!!!!!!
Hi
I live in a Victorian terrace house which has been converted into two flats. I live in the top half. After hearing lots of strange noises I finally saw a rat this morning, it jumped out of my kitchen bin!
My flatmates has also seen one and some droppings in the downstairs main hallway.
Anyway my point is why do I have rats in my flat? To have them upstairs without garden access seems weird.
Would it be true that they are in my downstairs neighbours flat? Who are v unlikely to ever deal with this problem!
I’m visiting England and France to visit friends in may and would like to know a few etiquette related things before I go… the last thing I want to be is rude! What sort of gift should I bring for the mother/family of one of my French friends (i’m staying in their home).
I’m also staying with a college aged friend in England, at his flat where he lives with other flatmates. Should I bring them something as appreciation as well?
Any other customs I should be aware of would be much appreciated!
I JUST bought a puppy, and I feel terrible because I want to spend allllll day with him but I can’t because I work from 8.30am to 5pm Mon-Fri. Will this effect our relationship? But if I don’t work I can’t care for him?! (Throughout the day he stays home in his playpen and my flatmates take him outside(to go toilet) and feed him during the day.)
It’s cold and freezing! My flatmates and i are trying to decide which heating system is cheapest at keeping our junks warm this winter (Yes, we are students, and we are poor)
I was thinking of bringing my little electric fan heater from home, but apparently they are quite expensive to run.
it will be heating a bedroom about 3m x 4m and the wattage is 2400. Oh and it describes itself as “High Power”…
Will it be too expensive to run? is there a more efficient alternative?
When i ask my Flatmates if they want pork or chicken for dinner they suggest the “other white meat”. What is this? When i ask them about it they just laugh and say they will have some next week and overtly lick there lips and poke me in the ribs.
